Senator Rachel Siewert launched the Greens Election Campaign in WA on Sunday 8th August and also launched the Australian Greens' reform agenda for Australia's aged care sector- Aged Care for the Future.
Joining Rachel were many of our House of Representitves and Senate candidates and many more of their supporters.

Greenpeace Japan anti-whaling campaigner Toru Suzuki visits Australia to speak about the whaling industry and how it can be stopped. Toru is giving a talk at Parliament House as a guest of Australian Greens Senator Rachel Siewert.

On Friday 28th August 2009, Rachel chartered a plane and flew over the site of the West Atlas oil platform spill. Her visit showed that the spill was far greater than had originally been reported.

On July 4th 2009, the community owned Denmark Environment Centre, which houses the head office of Green Skills was completely gutted by fire.
Green Skills has been a long term resident of the community owned building since 1989 when it operated as a project of APACE AID. Green Skills has since grown to include offices in Perth and Albany and became an independent incorporated organisation in 1998.
