Greens essential for delivering IR reform
The Greens will be essential for delivering genuine IR reform if a Rudd Labor Government is elected.
"Every time Labor expands on their IR policy they reinforce the need for the Greens," said Senator Rachel Siewert, Greens IR spokesperson.
"It is clear from Julia Gillard's comments today on the right of entry -- following on from recent back-downs on key issues such as unfair dismissal, the right to strike, the ABCC and AWA's -- that the Greens are the only party committed to delivering a fair and just industrial relations system."
"Workers and unions will be increasingly concerned with the ALP progressively watering down their industrial relations policy, they will want the third-party insurance of a strong and independent Green voice in the Senate," concluded Senator Siewert.
